This month we will be chatting about mental health

Often exercise is prescribed to assist with depression and anxiety but we are unsure of the why’s and hows.

Why does exercise help?

  • It increases blood flow to the brain which improves your mood!
  • It helps with maintaining a healthy weight.
  • It improves your overall health and wellness.

How do we start exercising?

  • We cannot emphasize this enough, ONE STEP AT A TIME!
  • Throwing yourself into a full blown exercise regime might be overwhelming. Start of with activities that last 10 minutes and slowly build up from there.
  • Pick something that you enjoy doing!
