Are your children getting enough exercise?

Physical activity is beneficial for muscle strength, healthier bones, confidence, concentration, healthy weight and an improvement in social skills. ( Check out this fact sheet for more information https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/…/dh_128144.pdf).

Children should be getting in at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day. With the colder weather, this becomes a little bit more difficult.

Here are a few tips and tricks on how to keep the kids moving:

  1. Perform jumping jacks in between TV shows.
  2. Plan active activities on the weekend such as bike riding, hiking, walks in the park
  3. Encourage outdoor play time.
